Sam's Baby Blessing

We recently took a trip out to Chicago to Bless Sam. Jon's brother Jay and his wife Merna and there three son's; Jasper, Grady and Issac live just outside of Chicago and where gracious enough to let us impose on them for a week. Jon's dad and his wife Jane flew out from Utah and my Mother and Father Linda and Bill drove up from Missouri. It was so nice to have the opportunity to spend time with our family. Sam's blessing was the perfect excuse to get everyone together. Sam's blessing was beautiful, it still makes me teary when I think of all the wonderful blessings in store for him. I am always amazed at how much my two little guys bless and enrich my life. It is incredible how a baby can bring so much joy into the world. I couldn't help but notice how Sam brought joy to everyone around him with his big bright eyes and infectious smile. Sam is such a happy little guy, he definitely takes after his big brother. I can't even begin to imagine what kind of mischief these two will be into in the near future. I guess I have a lot to look forward too. In the meantime I love that these two little guys make me smile so much that my cheeks constantly hurt. Addie and Sam are the best. What more can I say than that?

Happy Easter

This Easter was crazy, we just moved into our house on Saturday which made Easter Sunday a bit chaotic. We did manage to get the easter baskets together and our two little bunnies loved them. Addison discovered that he really really likes chocolate and Sam, well he just likes being in the middle of all that is going on, no matter what it is. All in all we had a great Easter with the kids and managed to get a few good photos, this was my favorite of the two of them together.

Amanda Visits the Raines Boys

This past week Amanda came out to visit us from Utah. We could not have asked for nicer weather in the bay area as we enjoyed exploring sites such as Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, Alcatraz, Coit Tower, Lombard Street, Ocean Beach, Union Square, China Town, Shopping in Walnut Creek, the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, driving up the One and getting some great sunset photos along the coast. Weary, week and even a bit sunburned, we still managed to squeeze in a Dungeness Crab dinner along the wharf on Amanda's last night in town and the Golden Gate bridge on our way to the airport the next afternoon. Amanda and I even got to have a "Girls Night" out while Jon watched the kids... okay, by the time we got home from Santa Cruz it was too late for a pedicure, but we did get to have dinner at P.F. Chang’s where Rob Thomas the lead singer of Matchbox Twenty was sitting a few tables away... our waitress was very excited. We hope that Amanda will be able to come back for another visit soon, there is so much left to see and do.
