Happy Easter
This Easter was crazy, we just moved into our house on Saturday which made Easter Sunday a bit chaotic. We did manage to get the easter baskets together and our two little bunnies loved them. Addison discovered that he really really likes chocolate and Sam, well he just likes being in the middle of all that is going on, no matter what it is. All in all we had a great Easter with the kids and managed to get a few good photos, this was my favorite of the two of them together.

Amanda Visits the Raines Boys
This past week Amanda came out to visit us from Utah. We could not have asked for nicer weather in the bay area as we enjoyed exploring sites such as Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, Alcatraz, Coit Tower, Lombard Street, Ocean Beach, Union Square, China Town, Shopping in Walnut Creek, the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, driving up the One and getting some great sunset photos along the coast. Weary, week and even a bit sunburned, we still managed to squeeze in a Dungeness Crab dinner along the wharf on Amanda's last night in town and the Golden Gate bridge on our way to the airport the next afternoon. Amanda and I even got to have a "Girls Night" out while Jon watched the kids... okay, by the time we got home from Santa Cruz it was too late for a pedicure, but we did get to have dinner at P.F. Chang’s where Rob Thomas the lead singer of Matchbox Twenty was sitting a few tables away... our waitress was very excited. We hope that Amanda will be able to come back for another visit soon, there is so much left to see and do.

Codornices Park, Berkeley CA
Sam enjoyed people watching from his vantage point on daddy's chest, while Addison roamed the park looking for new area's to explore. The slide, awhh the slide, climbing up, sliding down, what's not to love about the slide? Today Addison discovered that he could climb up the slide then slide down on his belly. Which he enjoyed immensely over and over, up, down, down, up, until he slipped on the way up and bumped his chin on the way down, finally settling in the sand below. Suddenly, the slide no longer interested Addison, but the swings, awhh the swings, the wind in his hair the breeze on his soar chin. Swinging, back and forth and back and forth again. Addison loves to swing. No wait... Addison spots the sandbox, must stop swinging now. The sandbox, awhh the sandbox, cool sand slipping through his tiny fingers, the texture, the buckets, the shovels, the dump trucks, dumping sand in his lap, tossing sand in the air. what's not to love about the sand box. Mommy dragging Addison away from the sandbox crying as the sun goes down and it's time to go home for a well earned bath. The bathtub, awhh the bathtub. Addison's favorite, the warm water between his toes, bubbles tickling his tummy, toys floating, splashing water, getting daddy all wet. There is nothing like a long bath after a hard day exploring, sliding, swinging, playing in the sand and crying all the way home. How Addison loves to go to the park, and how Sam can't wait until he is big enough to join his big brother in all his adventures.
